Perfectly Restored

Perfectly Restored

The Lord sent my friend a gift to illustrate how He sees us.

Twenty years ago, she received a unique dresser as a Christmas gift. Being made of solid wood with carvings set it apart from all the others. A few days ago, she came across a nightstand by the curb with a “for free” sign while walking through her neighborhood. Upon closer inspection, she realized it was the match to her dresser. Even though marred with scratches and chipped paint, she could see the beauty of a perfectly restored stand.

Sometimes we wander far from our original purpose. Through years of neglect, we have been marred and scarred. The Master finds us on the street where we live. He sees past the abuse to a beautifully restored work of art; in our case, the restoration is free because He has paid for it already.
