In the Life of Leah-a true story
Raised in a small town in Eastern Washington, Leah grew up surrounded by peaceful rolling wheat fields. Contrary to her tranquil soundings, she was ill-tempered, stubborn, and given to speaking her mind. These attributes collided with her parent’s conservative, law-abiding beliefs. Boarding school seemed a hopeful place for a strong-willed teenager.

Too often, parents of belligerent children resorted to boarding school as a last-ditch effort for change which often didn’t turn out as hoped. However, for some, this was indeed their saving grace.
