The Journey to Intimacy

The Journey to Intimacy

In the progression to intimacy with God, it is in the Holy Place the transformation of life becomes a reality. I am in the process of learning to live a life that is not human.

1 Peter 1:3-5

Amplified Bible

Blessed [gratefully praised and adored] be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant and boundless mercy has caused us to be born again [that is, to be reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, and set apart for His purpose] to an ever-living hope and confident assurance through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, [born anew] into an inheritance which is imperishable [beyond the reach of change] and undefiled and unfading, reserved in heaven for you,  who are being protected and shielded by the power of God through your faith for salvation that is ready to be revealed [for you] in the last time.

Christ has become the King. I am now a member of God’s Kingdom, and I walk away from the kingdom of this world. When I stand before the altar (an altar is a place of sacrifice) of incense and offer my prayers to a mighty God, I submit and commit my will to His will. Nothing in this world holds me back, blocks me, or thwarts God’s plan for me to be a child of the King.

At the altar of incense, I sacrifice the last vestiges of my ties to the world’s systems.

  1. The entertainment system
  2. Educational system
  3. Political system
  4. Economic system
  5. Even the diluted religious system

I cannot be of this world and part of the Kingdom of God.

Romans 12:2

Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Mixing the prince of this world and the Kingdom of God does not work. I make the ultimate decision at the altar of incense before the curtain of The Most Holy Place. Am I all in with Jesus, or not in at all?
