Choose Joy
How conscious are we of our feelings? When we wake in the morning, what prompts our mood? Do we go by how we feel to start the day? Do we voice our negativity before the day begins, like how we hate getting up or going to work? Do we declare the day will not be a good day? You get the picture. Feelings, gone unchecked, take a taxing toll on our lives.
What would happen if we decided how we felt every new day? What would happen if we were to choose Joy to begin the day? In Christ’s spiritual realm, we must act by choosing joy before the feeling of joyfulness appears.
If we live, we have reasons to claim joy as our companion. When we experience forgiveness, we have a reason for internal gratefulness in expressions of joy. We counteract negative feelings by choosing how we feel instead of accepting what the enemy wants us to feel.
Choose joy today, and let your heart sing to the glory of God.
