No Limits
Here is a truth I never thought of before today.
A picture came to my mind of a dying Jesus on the cross. Many were mocking Him, challenging Him to do something about His condition.
Matthew 27:42-44 The Message
41-44 The high priests, along with the religion scholars and leaders, were right there mixing it up with the rest of them, having a great time poking fun at him: “He saved others—he can’t save himself! King of Israel, is he? Then let him get down from that cross. We’ll all become believers then! He was so sure of God—well, let him rescue his ‘Son’ now—if he wants him! He did claim to be God’s Son, didn’t he?” Even the two criminals crucified next to him joined in the mockery.
“He saved others—he can’t save himself!
And they were right. What Satan wanted all along was for Jesus to save Himself. Even in the desert, tempted for 40 days, the devil pushed for Him to save Himself.
He didn’t come to save Himself; He came to save me. He came to redeem the world from itself. Neither was I put in this world to rescue myself but to carry the cross to Calvary, where self no longer exists. The cross was necessary for me to live. Therefore He asks me to take up my cross and follow Him wherever that takes me.
No matter our condition or situation, never limit Jesus to what seems to be, because He has no limits.
