Remember Me

Remember Me

I am thankful today for this story:

When I examine the situation of the thief on the cross, I am astonished. I hadn’t stopped to look at it from his perspective before today.

The thief knew why he was dying in this unceremonious way. He also knew he had but a few hours left, and so did the man in the middle. The man in the middle was dying just like he was dying with only a few hours left.

The astonishing thing to me came with the profound statement this thief made. “Remember me when You come into Your Kingdom.” WHAT?  How could a dead man fulfill such a request, especially when Jesus died before either of the two other men?

In the face of the impossible, this man believed. The one hanging in the middle was indeed the Son of God.

Lord! Please give me faith like the thief.
