Beauty for Ashes
Those whose ears hear the broken cry,
Receive power to minister.
Those whose eyes see the battered spirit,
Receive God’s love for the oppressed.
Those who speak for the silenced voice,
Receive words of wisdom and comfort.
Those whose hands are open to the needy,
Receive an abundance of manna.
Those whose feet are swift to rescue,
Receive the strength to endure
Those who deny themselves to serve others,
Receive the gift of continual filling.
For the more, we give of ourselves,
The more we receive beauty for ashes.
