What is the Truth?

What is the Truth?

When Jesus stood before Pilate at His trial, Pilate questioned Him:
“You are a king, then!” said Pilate. Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.” “What is truth?” retorted Pilate. With this, he went out again to the Jews gathered there and said, “I find no basis for a charge against him.
(John 18: 38−NASB)

Pilate didn’t wait for the answer to “what is the truth.” Jesus calls for me to stop long enough to discover the truth about whom I am and where I’m heading.

How do I fight the instigator of my problems?

The Apostle Paul tells me how to fight the enemy― not with my abilities but with full reliance on the Lord.

“I am indeed an ordinary, weak human being, but I don’t use human plans and methods to win my battles. I use God’s mighty weapons, not those made by men, to knock down the devil’s strongholds. These weapons can break down every proud argument against God and every wall that can be built to keep men from finding him. With these weapons, I can capture rebels and bring them back to God and change them into men whose hearts’ desire is obedience to Christ. (2 Corinthians 10:3–5 TLB)
