You will find that authentic and lasting joy is a result of living outside of one’s self — a life of living for the good of others.
The freedom from being self-absorbed in our thoughts wants, and desires will come while in communion with a selfless God. From the time spent with the creator springs inner warmth for others. It emits a quiet joy that moves us away from a preoccupation with self. We are then amenable to be used by God’s Spirit to fulfill the needs of the world around us.
This way of living not only brings joy but becomes the purpose of life.
