Where is God?

Where is God?

Is God neglectful? Where is He anyway when things are falling apart; or are they?

We are so conditioned to believe that what we see and hear is all there is to the matter. Seldom do we consider our circumstances something other than they appear? There’s the possibility God may have something different in mind. He often adjusts, redirects or establishes something new. This should be our first thought rather than the last.

Our expectations of God are for an immediate response or we conclude He doesn’t care a whit about us. We assume He neglects our needs for weightier matters and important people. The devil rushes in and establishes his nest of discontent in our heads and we grumble and complain God is not doing His job.

We are victims of our own making, and yet we look for someone else to be responsible for this adversity. So when the enemy asks, “where is God at this time of need?,” we question our Lords willingness to help us.

Think about this when you doubt God’s concern for you. Jesus, who threw Satan and a third of the angels that followed him out of heaven, is the same Jesus who will cast the devil out of your life. You always clean house when expecting company.

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
