I knew my friend would call me, so I picked up the phone and called her first. She was home as I knew she would be. But my mind wasn’t on what she was saying. Instead, I was looking at a figure a little ways away. Strange, It looked like Christ, or at least the way He was pictured when he walked this earth so long ago. Our eyes met. He was smiling. I smiled back. My eyes were fastened on Him as He walked toward me still smiling. He came over to the patio where I was and sat on the chair across from me. Words were not necessary. His smile held me captive.
Still on the phone, I told my friend of my visitor. She said, “talk to Him!” But there was no need for words. That smile between us said it all. My Savior… Our love… His acceptance… My gratefulness…My Precious Savior…
Minutes pass. Then He got up and slowly walked away. My heart cried out,” Don’t leave. ”The memory remains. It always will.
