Today I was observing the clouds and wondered, will there be clouds in heaven? I reflected on heaven and how my yearning to go home is ever present.
When I was young, I went to my parent’s house for the holidays. It was always significant because I knew I had someone waiting for me; looking forward to seeing me. The house where I grew up was a place of warmth, security and a shelter where I belonged.
I still reflect on going home. But now I anticipate my eternal home because I know the one waiting for me. I know He is eager to receive me and that causes a deep longing to see Him who walked with me here on earth.
Heaven is not a stop-over or tourist attraction, but a forever existence with a forever God who loves forever!
20 But we are citizens of the state (commonwealth, homeland) which is in heaven, and from it also we earnestly and patiently await [the coming of] the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) [as] Savior,
