To Know God’s Will-Day Two
Everything I’ve read about how to become a millionaire has two ingredients. You must have a plan and set goals.
One of the mysteries for the Christian is God’s will. The first thing He wants us to know is He has a plan. You will find this plan in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
What does prosper mean?
Definition of prospering:
1: to succeed
2: to become strong and flourishing
His will is to give you hope.
Hope for what? A hope that there are better things to come. That regardless of your circumstance, holding on assures you of victory in the end. Jesus is desperate for your success. The cross made that hope possible and your future certain. A glorious conclusion awaits you because you took the time and effort to seek Him.
God wants to listen to you, so He invites you to call on Him and pray because He wills you to find Him, even though He is not far from any one of us.
God’s will is:
1. To give you hope
2. To provide you with a future
3. To listen to you
4. For you to find Him
5. For you to call upon Him
6. For you to pray to Him
7. For you to seek Him with your heart
Acts 17:27 NIV
“27 God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us.”
Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV
“5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.”
