Why Jesus?

Why Jesus?

When Jesus arrived two thousand years ago, His physical attributes wasn’t what attracted the people. His believability drew them; His straightforward honesty, and the force of His words. The hurting and damaged discovered in Him their healing. Their condition called for a transforming miracle, and Jesus was the answer.

Not wanting their prestige or authority altered, the church leaders turned from Him blocking out visible miracles and wonders He performed. They viewed Him as a threat to their first love, self. His pureness of nature showed the world the contrast between their corrupt lives and His. Their pride closed the door to His entreating voice.

If you are analyzing your position between the world and God consider the distinctions.

Jesus offers:                                                               Satan offers:
1. Love                                                                         1. lust
2. Truth                                                                       2. Lies
3. Peace                                                                       3. Unrest
4. Humility                                                                 4. Pride
5. Wisdom                                                                   5. Folly
6. Freedom                                                                  6. Slavery
7. Joy                                                                             7. Oppression
8. Purpose                                                                    8. Confusion

Why wander in the valley of indecision any longer?

Joel 3:14
Thousands upon thousands are waiting in the valley of decision. There the day of the LORD will soon arrive.

Jeremiah 6:16 ESV
Thus says the Lord:
Stand by the roads, and look,
and ask for the ancient paths,
where the good way is; and walk in it,
and find rest for your souls.
But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.

James 3:17 ESV
But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere
