The Path I Take
Blessed Are The Weak Who Find Their Strength In The Lord.
The Lord has set me on the path that lays before me. He has placed markers along my way to follow so as not to stumble and lose my footing.
His quiet steps beside me and whispers of blessings assure me of His presence.
Along this fore-determined road have been dark days and sunlit mornings, self-selected detours, mountaintop experiences, times of utter despair, and moments of glory. What the past has taught me is to never lose sight of Jesus, and never, ever let go of His hand. staying close is my place of security; of peace, and joy
.
Probably, not unlike yourself, are things in my past I would redo. Maybe that’s the point… just maybe I wouldn’t be at the place I am today if I hadn’t experienced the results of self-selected detours. Just maybe, the greatest lessons learned were in the darkest hours at the lowest depths. Nothing is too evil to forgive other than the refusal to ask forgiveness.
With the asking, Jesus takes our self-directed ways and turns them into something beautiful.
Psalm 119:105
105 Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.
Jeremiah 29:11
11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Psalm 25:9
He leads the humble in doing right, teaching them his way.
