Where Are You?

Where Are You?

May Sin Have No Dominion Over You.

Adam and Eve had eaten the forbidden fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. As was His custom Jesus came to walk and talk with them in the Garden of Eden. But this time they were not present to greet His arrival. This unusual behavior gave rise to the question, “where are you?” Jesus knew where they were, but at this moment the father and mother of humanity realized their sin and hid from Jesus.

Six thousand years later our Creator still calls after His children where in the world are you?

Ask yourself these questions daily. Where am I in my relationship with Jesus? When I mess- up do I hide? He desires you to enter His open arms of forgiveness? Your enemy smiles when you hide. The further away from God you go the more control he has over you.

Run. Run toward help not away from it. If you have sinned, seek Jesus; talk to Him. Then allow Him to recalculate your course of action. Never breaking communication will keep you from running beyond earshot of Jesus’ question, “where are you?”

Luke 19:10
“For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

Matthew 18:12
“What do you think? If any man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go and search for the one that is straying?

Psalm 32:5
Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the LORD.” And you forgave the guilt of my sin.

Psalm 19:12
But who can discern their own errors? Forgive my hidden faults.
