Reason To Believe
May The Sun Give Rise To Faith.
As the sun rose this morning gilding the treetops with light, I am at rest. Not because of a good nights sleep, but because the rising sun is God’s promise He is in control and a reason to believe. Whenever I question God’s existence, He reminds me of His presence and power in what He created.
Does your faith (trust) waver? Do you sometimes question God’s existence; is this Christianity thing only a made-up fairytale?
Would it help to know we all have questioned; that man is not born with faith? We are born with questions. Many questions. We live in a fallen world that requires reasons to believe in a God we cannot see. Just as forgiveness and salvation are gifts granted for the asking, so is faith. Asking for faith changes the lens we look through, from a world’s view to spiritual discernment. Faith no longer is a leap in the dark but a walk with the light. Faith is the spirit’s muscle, the more it’s exercised the stronger it gets.
Ask for the faith to understand Jesus’ purpose for your life. Take the risk of abandoning your earthly vision to what awaits you through Spirit filled eyes.
