A Box Of Dynamite

A Box Of Dynamite

May You Experience What The Power Of God Can Do Today.

When I was young, my family went to visit relatives on their country farm. The next morning my father discovered a box of dynamite under the bed, which terrified my mother. They removed the threat to a safer place. But, my uncle had a specific purpose for the nitroglycerin sticks. In the middle of his field stood a large tree stump. They selected several rods of explosives. The brave men of the hour assembled them near the immovable object and lit the fuse. The remains lay in pieces around the hole that formerly held a tree.

There is power when you believe.

There are three reasons individual Christians and churches speak of God’s power with no existing evidence.

1. Fear. If you don’t understand what power will do, you remove it from under your bed and place it at a safe distance. A power you cannot control your fear. So, the question is, do you think God is good?

2. Unbelief. If you trust God’s power is available to you, then use it according to His will. Doubt eliminates the possibility of power.

3. You don’t know how to use the power. My uncle knew the obstacle in the field was impeding cultivation reducing productivity but had the means of eliminating the problem.

It’s true we have no power on our own, but do we realize the power Jesus makes available to us? Through His authority, the promises in scripture explode into miracles. His vows He always honors. Every time.  The problem with human nature is our desires expect answers the way we envision them. God’s way is always the best policy.

Our Father invites us to test Him. Pray using His promises, for whatever is God’s will He will honor. Praying promises assures results no matter if it appears impossible. You can expect great and powerful answers in trusting God’s word. Exercise the power Jesus offers. It will change everything.

2 Samuel 22:33
“For who is God except the Lord? Who but our God is a solid rock? God is my strong fortress, and he makes my way perfect.”

Psalm 147:4-5
“He determines the number of the stars; he gives to all of them their names. Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; his understanding is beyond measure.”

Romans 15:13
“I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13
