May all you undertake find sweet fulfillment.
Do you ever sabotage yourself? Have you set goals and slowly found excuses for moving on to something else? I know I have a hundred times. Why do you suppose we do this? Is it fear or a sense of unworthiness? Are we afraid to fail or we don’t deserve to succeed?
God is all about success. He never fails. If you want to win, the best course is to hook your buggy to a winner.
What you are doing is measuring your abilities to the size of the task. The assignment overwhelms you. It is too big, too long, too hard, so you search for a way around it by starting a new project.
In other words, the focus is on the wrong thing.
If the measurement is according to your ability, you fall short, if based on what God can do, you are a winner. Because of the cross, you have been made worthy, because Jesus never fails, you succeed.
“If our identity is in our work, rather than Christ, success will go to our heads, and failure will go to our hearts.” Tim Keller
Jeremiah 29:11New International Version (NIV)
