May You Find Sweet Communion With An ever-present God.

“Have you seen it? I can’t find it anywhere. I’ve looked and looked and still can’t remember where I laid it. ” Sound familiar? We often panic over a misplaced cell phone. The thought of losing instant contact is unacceptable. Losing the ability to get in touch when desired or needed unsettles the most stalwart.

Prayer is our direct communication with God. Consider it your cell connection with Jesus. You cannot see who you are talking with on the phone as you are not aware of Jesus’ physical presence during prayer. But, He is as certain as your friend on the line.

What happens when you “feel” you lost connection with Jesus? Do you feverishly try to reconnect, or you tend to pull away verses pushing closer?

When you cannot hear God or recognize Him near, take heart He is nearer than your “instincts” are telling you. Jesus never leaves us alone. Talk to Him all day long and especially when uncertain of His proximity. Seek Him as your lost cell phone. Your contact with Jesus is far more critical.
