A Waste Of Time?
Blessed indeed are those who start their day in the presence of Jesus.
I heard someone say years ago that if they had to go to heaven without their husband, they really weren’t interested in going. At another time someone chided me for putting God first in my life when family should be my priority.
When you think of children, friends, husband or wife, don’t you want to be the best parent you can be for them; the best spouse or friend? Don’t you want to be patient, kind and full of joy? How do you become that kind of person for those you love? Spending time with Jesus first, prepares you to be the best You. Spending time with God gives you the tools you need, to supply the needs of others.
Jesus is never a waste of time. Martin Luther once said, “I have so much to do that I shall spend the first three hours in prayer.” Start your to-do list with God. Make Him your priority and watch while everything else falls into place.
Proverbs 3:6Living Bible (TLB)
6 In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success.
Matthew 6:33
But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
