Lord Help Me
May you carry only what the Father asks of you.
Sometimes, with the purest of motives, you tend to take on more than you are capable of handling. Your plate is full, stressed to the max. And your prayer rises to the listening ear of your Father. “Dear Lord Help me to get this job done. Help me to get through this.
Do you see anything out of place with this scenario?
We all seem to get confused about who is in control. If you stop to consider your purpose as a Christian, is it not to be available for God to use? Are we all getting this backward? It is our privilege to be used by God. It is not God’s privilege to be used by you and me.
Are you a tool in God’s hands, or is God a tool in your hands?
Then why do you take on things that are not yours to carry? Whose idea was it to shoulder the load with which you are struggling? Jesus says, “Take my yoke upon you for my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” He is giving you a blessed opportunity to help Him in His work. And He will never overload you.
